Venice was a short train ride away and we spent a day there wandering the streets. Before I left Italy I returned to see Christine and spent Thanksgiving Day with her before flying back to Florida the next day. We drove to Nome, known for exceptional handpainted ceramics and I bought several pieces. Already packed and with no room I asked Christine to ship them to me. I got them hand delivered 8 months later when someone from Aviano was transfered to Hurlburt Field!
