Many foreign students come to Bologna to study, so it is a bit of a university town. It also has a pair of leaning towers. While not as decorative as the famous Leaning Tower of Pisa, Bologna's towers lean away from one another with one shorter than the other (they stopped building the 2nd tower when the 1st started to lean).
